2022 Achievements
This was a challenging year for the blockchain industry where the global broader market problems like inflation, higher interest rates and risk-off tendencies slowed down crypto mass adoption. NFT projects and valuations of tokens were hit the most with the values diminished by 90–95% and trading volumes suffering a big pullback. The recent scandals that include Celsius Network, BlockFi bankruptcies and FTX fraud didn’t help the market either. Nonetheless, the proliferation of NFT projects and the clear consensus is that blockchain & cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Market tendencies will most likely change and will be driven by a few factors:
- More institutional players coming to the space with stricter and more rigid compliance requirements,
- NFTs with new real-life use cases outside of the entertainment business,
- Decentralized finance in lieu of many centralised entities scandals to protect crypto assets
Despite the difficult time, it was an amazing year for Metacourt.
First of all, we fully rebranded from a sports business-oriented company into web3 with a sports and gaming focus.
We strengthened our position with a few amazing projects and collaborations that we did:
- Crypto.com — Ballies NFT — Metacourt was an accelerator behind the successful start of Ballies which became a stand-alone project. Let the numbers speak: Collaboration with crypto.com sold out in 10 min for 2m USD and traded for 5.5m USD on the secondary market
- Algorand — NFT Helmet drop — 8000 Formula E NFTs dropped over the whole formula E season that supported Algorand Foundation's effort to make the world cleaner. All proceeds went to plant a million trees in Madagascar.
- Moonbeam & Algorand — influencer accelerator for Algorand and EVM machine to automate marketing campaigns with the use of smart contracts
- Hedera DAO — is a recently signed project for the DAO toolkit focusing on sports and gaming
2023 Roadmap
The 2023 roadmap has exciting launches, strong community-building initiatives & operations scale-up. Our ecosystem and product development will give a new life to the BLS token in 2023 and strengthen it from the 2021 price levels.
We want to give real power to our community and we would love to involve you in the debate about the BLS token whose price is unfortunately much lower compared to an all-time high.
Few ideas about BLS tokens:
- convert it to the DAO token that will give a real benefit to holders of one of the subprojects (influencer accelerator)
- find the utility use case for the token around subprojects
- give more power to our community and users and convert BLS to DAO of the main company
All the above ideas will be discussed with the community in January 2023.
Strong partnerships with blockchains and protocols provide a foundation for the 2023 boost. Finally, we will launch NFTs with the real use case through our DAO platform.
Implementation of our ecosystem development pipeline will keep Metacourt ahead of the other blockchain projects all year:
1. Core business
Hedera DAO Accelerator:
DAO Launchpad is in development from January 2023 and will be launched within 6–9 months. It will allow companies to register DAO in the metaverse or most popular jurisdictions. It’s delivered across verticals and applies to the whole portfolio of company sizes.
2. Expansion
Algorand Influencer Accelerator:
While focusing on platforms and offers for DAO gaming and sports, we will utilize our unique NFT 2.0 solutions and create trusted marketing campaign automation tools for artists, musicians, influencers and brands to attract wider audiences and bring trust to the crypto industry.
